Temple Israel is a premiere institution in the national Jewish community and in Greater Boston. In 2004, Temple Israel celebrated its 150th anniversary. While barely recognizable from its beginnings as a small German Orthodox shul, it has retained its awareness of tradition, commitment to Jewish values and ability to change for the better.
Temple Israel’s Tomorrow Campaign raised over $17 million. These funds ensured the continued development and implementation of their spiritual, religious and educational opportunities and social justice work. It also allowed Temple Israel to modernize their building to accommodate worship services, special functions and celebrations in the lives of their congregants and community. The campaign brochure focused on displaying the Temple’s diversity and rich history to revitalizing their congregation’s commitment to Temple
Israel’s future.
